A medical-optics network, not a frame shop

Premier Optic runs practices in Bucharest, Ilfov, Constanța and Brașov. What separates it from an ordinary glasses shop is that the medical side comes first: the optometric exam, lenses from Hoya, Essilor and Zeiss, and myopia-control solutions for children.

That creates an interesting communication problem. The general public assumes “optician” means cheap frames and discounts. A site that looks like a frame shop attracts exactly the wrong customer — the one comparing on price alone — and loses the one who needs progressive lenses and is willing to pay for them.

The decision is not made online

For an optician, the website does not close the sale. Nobody buys progressive lenses out of a shopping cart — the person has to come in, have their vision measured, try frames on. The site has exactly one real objective: to win the appointment.

That simplifies the design enormously, but it raises the bar on one thing: the path from “I landed on the site” to “I booked” has to be as short as possible, on whichever channel the person prefers.

An optician’s website has one real objective: the appointment. Everything else is context that makes it feel like a good idea.

The range, organised by age and need

Services are not listed as an inventory but as life situations. Glasses have a clearly displayed entry price, so the starting point is unambiguous. Progressive lenses speak to people over 40 who do not want two separate pairs. MiyoSmart lenses cover myopia control for children aged 3 to 16 — a category most parents only discover in the practice. PC filters and photochromic lenses handle the 20-40 bracket, and prescription sunglasses close the list.

Each entry answers “is this for me?”, not “here is what we sell”. And the optometric exam is free and takes around twenty minutes — a small promise, easy to accept, exactly the kind of first step that asks for no commitment.

Booking is one click away from anywhere on the page

The “Book now” button is persistent, not buried in a menu. Next to it sits WhatsApp integration — because in practice a lot of people would rather send a message than fill in a form or make a call.

The trust layer rests on verifiable things: the Google rating with testimonials, lens brands people recognise — Hoya, Essilor, Zeiss — and lifetime service for post-sale adjustments. And where price becomes the obstacle, instalments through TBI Bank and Mokka step in, based on ID alone. For a good pair of progressives, that is often the difference between “let me think about it” and an appointment booked on the spot.

How it works now

The design is warm rather than clinical — a medical optician that does not make you feel like you are at a hospital. The structure is built around four locations with an emphasis on local search, because a customer in Brașov searches differently from one in Constanța, even though the network is the same.
